Overview

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will maintain daily accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations and provides senior accountant with managerial reports regarding the same. Responsibilities

  • Support of the Controller and CFO.
  • General Ledger account analysis.
  • Assist in month end close.
  • Assist in various audits.
  • Create journal entries.
  • Payment of VA Fees and Monthly Mortgage Insurance.
  • Manage Principal, Impounds and Upfront MIP accounts.
  • Facilitate Impound variance collections and payments.
  • Create and maintain internal reports
  • Cross-training with other accounting staff to provide coverage and assistance when necessary.

 

Pre-requisites:

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Accounting experience preferred.
  • Mortgage experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus.

 

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal-communication and business-relationship skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technologically proficient in MS Windows software.

 

Education:

  • BS or BA degree in accounting
