Overview

Supervises the daily functions of the set up, account managers and underwriting staff. Effectively explains to the department staff how to open, process and underwrite loans in accordance with company policies and procedures.  Assists with staff’s training.

The duties for Regional Wholesale Operations Manager include, but are not limited to, those described below.

Responsibilities

  • Performs managerial duties including: hiring, corrective action, performance reviews, counseling and work scheduling.
  • Plans, schedules and coordinates work assignments and file flow to ensure load balance for all staff
  • Ensures quality and compliance of work with company policy and procedures.
  • Develops and implements formal and informal training programs.
  • Accountable for PLR resolution working with internal and external personnel and/or customers, escalating decisions as directed.
  • Performs 2nd level underwriting reviews for loans outside of staff authority levels.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Five to seven years of underwriting experience, plus three to five years of division management experience.
  • DE and/or LAPP credentials required

Skills:

  • Ability to make sound judgments regarding the resolution of service, credit decision, funding and post-close issues.
  • Ability to problem-solve and exercise independent judgment while displaying a high degree of initiative.
  • Ability to handle detailed assignments and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills necessary to prioritize workload and delegate responsibility.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
